It is the mission of Hope Haven of East Texas, through partnerships with churches, families and the community, to provide a safe home environment, minister the love of Christ, and to equip teenage girls in the foster care system, preparing them for healthy adult living.

DIRECTOR FOR COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS

Reports To: Executive Director

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree

Three to five years professional development/fundraising experience, CFRE preferred

Experience working as part of a leadership team

Experience and competency using various financial and development software, i.e. Eleo, Salesforce, Excel, etc.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment to the Christian faith-based mission of Hope Haven of East Texas

Primary Purpose: The Director for Community Partnership is responsible for developing and stewarding relationships and resources within the community to ensure sustainability of Hope Haven’s programs and forward its mission and strategic vision.

GENERAL RESPONSIBLITIES AND DUTIES

Define a donor-centered development program, working closely with the Executive Director and organizational leadership to ensure appropriate support of Hope Haven’s strategic vision and budget needs.

Manage the organization’s existing donor base, ensuring ongoing communication and connection with Hope Haven’s mission and needs.

Identify and cultivate prospective donors with the goal of connecting like-minded partners within the community with the opportunity to directly meet the organization’s financial needs in ways that are meaningful to the individual donor.

Work collaboratively with organizational leadership to set and monitor progress on specific fundraising goals.

Develop messaging to ensure that donor and prospect outreach are on brand and consistently communicating the organization’s mission and strategic vision.

Design, implement, and manage all fundraising activities, utilizing donor software to ensure that all aspects of donor giving are accurately recorded and reported.

Prepare and present Annual Donor Report for the Board of Directors.

Lead Board Members in engaging and connecting potential donors within their circles to the Executive Director and the mission of Hope Haven.

Help to capture contact data at events, speaking engagements, donor engagement events, and face to face meetings.

Lead in the planning and assist in the execution of fundraising events.

Consistently recognize, thank, and educate donors on Hope Haven’s work.

Perform duties in a professional, ethical, and responsible manner.

Maintain positive and cooperative working relationships with administrative staff and others in the conduct of organization business and demonstrate teamwork in daily activities.

Improve leadership skills through self-initiated professional development activities.

Establish and meet annual performance goals.

Perform other tasks and assume such responsibilities as relate to the position.

POSITION KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Demonstrated history of managing a donor portfolio list.

Demonstrate a strategic approach to development with demonstrated experience in cultivating and stewarding relationships with donors.

Demonstrate excellent project management and organizational skills with high attention to detail.

The ability to plan, set goals and objectives, and follow through.

Confident public speaker with the capability to clearly and effectively communicate with a wide variety of audiences.

Commitment to work ethically and maintain confidentiality in all aspects of work.

Strong interpersonal skill set with the demonstrated ability to relate to a diverse base of individuals.

Team player, committed to building strong internal relationships across the organization.

Ability to use Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Power Point, and Teams proficiently.
